UCYP’s Institute of International Islamic Civilization (IIIC)’s achievements continue with the organization of the international conference for the 6th time with Southeast Asia Academic Mobility (SEAAM) as co-organizers on 02 & 03 December. This international conference was held every 2 years, with Islam and Hybrid Science was choosen as the theme for this year. This conference was attended by the largest number of participants which are 313. The entrants consist of researchers, professionals, industry representatives and also students who came from Brunei Darussalam, Indonesia and Malaysia. The choosen theme was discussing on the extent of Islam in facing the development of technology in the IR 4.0 era which involves the production of new concepts such as hybrid knowledge in education. This conference’s success was also due to the support from the Pahang Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council as main sponsor for this event.

The 2 -day conference was enlivened with meaningful and informative sharing from keynote and invited speakers comprising Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Dzulkifli Bin Abdul Razak, Rector of IIUM, Professor Datuk Dr. Azizan Binti Baharuddin, Associate Professor Dr. Amran Bin Muhammad, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Osman Bin Bakar,  Dr. Norashikin Binti Yusof and Professor Dr. Sukree Langputeh. Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bin Hj. Zainuddin, Vice Chancellor of UCYP, through his opening remarks, expressed his gratitude to those who were involved and made this conference as a platform for knowledge sharing. The findings of the conference will be translated and published for others’ references in future.

In-depth presentations from 16 researchers, from Indonesia and Malaysia, were successfully completed on the first day of the conference. Great highlights were also given during the sharing sessions from Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Osman Bin Bakar and Dr. Norashikin Binti Yusof while  Professor Dr. Sukree Langputeh was an invited speaker during the second day of the conference.

The best presentation award was awarded as recognition to the outstanding presenters Widia Wahana Sari, from Universitas Negeri Padang Indonesia. The International Institute of Islamic Civilization (IIIC) and UCYP greatly appreciate the support given to make this conference a success.
