Pahang State Government’s Gesture of Care for UCYP & KYP Staff and Students
On May 19, 2023, the Special Edition of the Juadah Makmur Distribution Program was hosted at UCYP’s Main Campus Auditorium. This new initiative, led by The Right Honorable Pahang Chief Minister Dato’ Sri (Dr) Haji Wan Rosdy Bin Wan Ismail and introduced by the Pahang State Government, aims to share blessings and express gratitude to the community. With an annual budget of RM11 million, the program distributes food almost every week in selected mosques after Friday prayers. Each of the 42 state constituencies has a chosen mosque to receive and distribute the food to the local community. The special edition of the distribution program includes government agencies, state subsidiary companies, and UCYP among the selected organizations.
In an effort to make a meaningful contribution to the education community, 500 pack foods were provided to those in attendance. The food distribution extends beyond students and also benefits the staff members of UCYP and KYP. Representatives present at the event were Encik Wan Emril Nizam Bin Wan Embong, the Research and Publication Officer of the Chief Minister of Pahang, and Encik Mohamad Azirul Hanif Bin Mohamad Sri, the Special Officer (Donations) of the Chief Minister of Pahang. Wan Emril Nizam in his speech highlighted that this state government initiative reflects their commitment to enhancing the welfare and well-being of the community. The program demonstrates the state government’s continuous concern for the well-being of the people and its efforts to provide assistance to those in need.
On behalf of UCYP, the event was attended by Encik Jalaluddin Bin Abdullah, the Registrar of UCYP, Ustaz Razi Bin Musa@Ahmad, the Manager of the Center for Indigenous Civilization Development (PETAMA), and Encik Hamdan Bin Abd Latiff, the Registrar of KYP. The Juadah Makmur Distribution Program is expected to continue its success and positively impact the people of Pahang. It is hoped that similar initiatives will be implemented and celebrated in other states, showcasing genuine concern for the welfare of the people and serving as inspiration for other regions.
