Appreciation Ceremony for KIBA 2022 & Kick Off KIBA 2023 “Recognition: Celebrating Symbolic Success in Togetherness”

The Intensive Arabic Language Course, known as KIBA, has been a longstanding program offered at the University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP) and the Kolej Yayasan Pahang (KYP). This collaborative program with universities in the Middle East, including Yarmouk University, Mutah University, and Al-Bayt University in Jordan, receives full sponsorship from the Pahang State Foundation, the Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), the Sabah Foundation, and the Ministry of Education Malaysia (MoE). Since its establishment in 1992, the KIBA program at UCYP-KYP has provided Arabic language preparation for SPM graduates intending to pursue further studies in countries like Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco. UCYP-KYP is committed to ensuring the success of this preparatory program by equipping students with comprehensive and competitive Arabic language skills, comparable to other preparatory programs.

In recognition of the program’s achievements, an appreciation ceremony was held at Megaview Hotel, Kuantan, on May 31, 2023, to honor all the academic and non-academic staff of UCYP-KYP who played a significant role in the implementation of the KIBA program This gathering aimed to revitalize the staff’s enthusiasm in welcoming the upcoming intake of KIBA students. Yang Hormat Prof. Dato’ Ts Dr. Mohd Ismail Bin Abd Aziz, a member of the UCYP Board of Governors, graced the event as the official representative for the Chairman, Board of Directors of KYP Education Sdn. Bhd. Also in attendance was Yang Berbahagia Encik Airulamri Bin Amran, the Chief Corporate Officer of the Pahang State Foundation, which is one of the sponsoring organizations of the UCYP-KYP KIBA program.

Associate Professor Ts. Dr. Hafizan Mat Som, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Advancement & Quality) of UCYP, expressed profound gratitude to the dedicated educators, particularly those from the Al-Bayt Al-Arabiy Center, as well as the diligent staff from various departments who worked collaboratively to ensure the continued success and demand for the UCYP-KYP Intensive Arabic Language Course Program. She emphasized the importance of meticulous preparation in terms of systems, facilities, and learning modules to welcome the upcoming batch of KIBA students in August 2023 In his address, Yang Hormat Prof. Dato’ Ts Dr. Mohd Ismail Bin Abd Aziz, a member of the UCYP Board of Governors, also conveyed his pride in UCYP and KYP’s accomplishments in nurturing highly reputable students.
