Finance Day 2024, organized by the Collection and Sponsorship Unit under the Finance Department, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at UCYP University’s Main Campus in Tanjung Lumpur on December 18, 2024. Marking its third edition, the event once again brought together students, staff, and alumni in a vibrant day filled with engaging activities and meaningful initiatives.
One of the event’s key highlights was the special discount offer for full settlement of outstanding fees, which provided a much-needed financial relief to many students. The program aimed not only to address financial matters but also to foster a sense of community and shared purpose among UCYP University members.
Throughout the day, a variety of activities created a lively atmosphere on campus. Participants had the chance to try their luck in lucky draws, explore affordable goods at the Jualan Rahmah bazaar, and take part in the Tengkujuh Brisk Walk; a refreshing group activity despite the monsoon season. The event also featured fun challenges like arm wrestling competitions and a food fest called Makan Mania that delighted food lovers.
Furthermore, the collaboration with Darul Makmur Medical Centre (DMMC) provided free health check-ups, which encouraged attendees to prioritize their well-being. In addition, several information booths set up by various agencies offered valuable insights and services, making Finance Day both enjoyable and educational.
The event concluded with a grand closing ceremony officiated by Pn. Norsazlina binti Che Ghazali, General Manager of KYP Education Sdn. Bhd. The ceremony was graced by the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice-Chancellor and Pn. Norhafifah bt Mohamad, Treasurer of UCYP University cum the Chairman of Finance Day 2024. Their support and participation underscored the importance of events like Finance Day in fostering financial literacy and community spirit.
Ultimately, Finance Day 2024 was more than just a financial initiative; it was a celebration of unity, growth, and shared achievements. The event exemplifies UCYP University’s commitment to supporting its students and community in meaningful and impactful ways.
