On February 15, 2025, 15 volunteers from the UCYP University Persatuan Pembimbing Rakan Siswa (PERSISWA) and Kolej Yayasan Pahang participated in the Mangrove Tree Planting Program with the Local Community at Ecoswed Setiu Wetlands, Terengganu.

A total of 1,000 mangrove saplings were planted as part of efforts to restore coastal ecosystems and promote environmental awareness. This initiative not only provided students with hands-on experience but also instilled a deeper sense of responsibility toward nature conservation.

The program was supported by Aeon Credit Service (M) Berhad, which invited participants to contribute to this sustainability effort. Also present was Nurafisha Aliya binti Ilias, an officer from the Student Affairs Unit of Kolej Yayasan Pahang, who took part in the initiative.

As an institution dedicated to fostering environmental consciousness among students, UCYP University continues to support initiatives that promote conservation efforts. Moving forward, it is hoped that more programs like this will be organized, allowing greater community involvement and long-term environmental benefits. Through volunteerism and social responsibility, this initiative reflects UCYP University’s commitment to sustainability and the well-being of future generations.
