Starting Strong: UCYP University Welcomes New Students for 2026

A new academic chapter officially began at UCYP University as more than 300 new students registered for foundation and Diploma programmes during the university’s first intake for 2026 at the Main Campus in Tanjung Lumpur. The registration marked the beginning of an exciting new journey for students and their families, with the campus coming alive with anticipation, enthusiasm and fresh aspirations for the year ahead.

This intake represents the first of five admissions scheduled throughout 2026, with registration for Kolej Yayasan Pahang students also taking place concurrently . Significantly, the majority of newly registered students are from Pahang, including members of the Orang Asli community, reflecting UCYP University’s continued role in widening access to quality higher education while supporting talent development and social mobility across the state.

The transition into university life continued through the Minggu Orientasi dan Persediaan Pelajar Baharu Diploma bagi Sesi I 2026/2027, which included a dedicated engagement session between new students and the university’s management team. The session provided students with the opportunity to interact directly with university leadership, gain a better understanding of campus life and appreciate the role they play in shaping a dynamic and inclusive university community.

Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice-Chancellor of UCYP University, together with Associate Professor Dr. Ahmad Fared bin Mohd Din, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Development and Community Diplomacy), welcomed the students and reinforced the university’s commitment to creating a supportive and holistic learning environment. The orientation also featured the oath-taking ceremony for the newly appointed Student Representative Council (MPP) leadership for the 2026/2027 session, led by its President, Amirun Akmal Hazeeq bin Mohd Nazri—symbolising the university’s continued emphasis on student leadership and active campus participation.

As an institution under Yayasan Pahang, UCYP University continues to nurture future-ready talent through programmes in artificial intelligence, science and technology, education, management, creative design and Islamic studies, supported by strong industry engagement and student development initiatives . The start of the new academic intake reflects not only the arrival of new students, but the beginning of a broader journey shaped by learning, leadership and opportunity.
