Finance Day 2023, held on December 13, was a dynamic event designed to achieve crucial objectives. Organised by the Finance Department and Collection and Sponsorship Unit, the primary focus was to collect repayments and motivate students and alumni to address their financial responsibilities. The event was a centralized hub for consultancy and information assistance on loans through sponsored counters featuring partners like Yayasan Pahang, PTPTN, KWSP, and Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad.
Going the extra mile, Finance Day 2023 redefined repayment perceptions, offering discounts and advantages to make it a beneficial experience. Diverse activities, including a treasure hunt, lucky draw, Jualan Rahmah Madani, consultancy counters, sponsor briefings, games, and colouring contests, were organized to foster community engagement and collaboration.
The success of Finance Day 2023 was reflected in the substantial turnout, with 459 participants actively engaging in various activities. Beyond addressing financial matters, the event succeeded in fostering a sense of community and collaboration, highlighting the importance of financial literacy and community engagement.
The event’s highlight was the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice-Chancellor of UCYP University, who officiated the Closing Ceremony. The event also welcomed Mdm. Norsazlina Che Ghazali, General Manager of KYP Education Sdn. Bhd; Mdm. Nor Hafifah Mohamad, Finance Manager and the top management team of UCYP University, KESB and KYP added prestige to the occasion.
During the Closing Ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor announced the impressive outcome of the repayment collection initiative, totalling nearly RM90,000. This noteworthy achievement highlighted the effectiveness of the efforts led by the Collection and Sponsorship Unit, under the guidance of its manager, Ms. Suzana Awang. The Vice-Chancellor recommended the continuity of this annual program, recognizing its positive impact on the university community.
Post-Finance Day 2023, the hope is that the initiatives undertaken will streamline processes within the Collection and Sponsorship Department and foster a positive perception among customers.
