On January 11, 2025, UCYP University successfully hosted the closing ceremony for the SMART Personal Excellence Program: Academic Advancement for Form 4 Students. This initiative was a collaborative effort between the Tun Ghazali Shafie Institute for Strategic Leadership (TGS-ISL) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Abdul Rahman Talib (SMART), aimed at enhancing academic performance and personal growth.
The ceremony was officiated by Tuan Haji Mohammad bin Che Ibrahim, Principal of SMART, in the presence of Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice-Chancellor of UCYP University, Suhaila binti Haji Mukhtar, Director of TGS-ISL, and Ts. Suriyani binti Sulaiman, Chief Digital Officer.
A special highlight of the event was an exclusive motivational session by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi, where he shared insights on academic success and self-development. His talk emphasized the importance of structured thinking, problem-solving skills, and biomimicry in design and technology. Drawing inspiration from groundbreaking innovations such as CRISPR gene-editing technology, Tesla’s electric vehicles, and microfinance banking, he encouraged students to master these critical skills to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving world.
Adding a fun and interactive element to the program, a lively Kahoot! A quiz session led by the Director of TGS-ISL brought energy to the room, testing students’ knowledge and fostering healthy competition. More than just an academic initiative, this program served as a platform for character-building and leadership development, equipping students with the confidence and knowledge to take on the SPM 2025 challenge.
As the program concluded, students walked away with renewed motivation and essential skills to excel in their studies. With the right mindset and preparation, they are now better positioned to achieve academic success and become the next generation of visionary leaders and innovators.
