Exploring New Frontiers in Education: UCYP Malaysia – Chengdu Industry and Trade College Bilateral Collaboration

Education collaboration programs between countries have become a common practice, and UCYP Malaysia has actively engaged in various partnerships and bilateral relationships with educational institutions, industries, and agencies, locally and globally. Strategic networks have been established with countries such as Indonesia, Bangladesh, and New Zealand. As part of its commitment to being a leading global educational institution, UCYP is dedicated to exploring diverse fields and providing students with optimal exposure through student mobility programs and academic collaborations with partner institutions.

On 6 July 2023, UCYP Malaysia conducted an official visit to Chengdu Industry and Trade College (CITC), CITC merupakan sebuah kolej vokasional awam yang diuruskan oleh Jabatan Pendidikan Sichuan, China. a public vocational college managed by the Sichuan Department of Education in China. Led by Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bin Haji Zainuddin, Vice-Chancellor of UCYP, the UCYP Malaysia delegation, supported by Mr. Wang Ji, UCYP’s strategic partner and spokesperson for the visit, was warmly welcomed by CITC officials. The visit included a campus tour, introduction to cutting-edge technologies, and discussions on collaborative academic programs between UCYP Malaysia and CITC.

The collaboration program involves the implementation of two diploma programs, namely the Diploma in Internet of Things (IoT) Applications and the Diploma in Applied Information Security Program, accredited by the Sichuan Department of Education. This joint effort between UCYP Malaysia and CITC aims to provide high-quality exposure to students from both countries. The collaboration extends beyond student mobility programs and includes the exchange of students and academic staff through the UCYP Malaysia Talent and Knowledge Transfer Program. Additionally, UCYP Malaysia aims to expand collaboration opportunities not only in education but also in the industrial sector. The success of these meetings and discussions will contribute significantly to the university’s vision. UCYP Malaysia expresses sincere gratitude to the CITC management and staff for their warm reception and cooperation during the visit.
