On 4th June 2024, UCYP University’s recent visit to Les’ Copaque Production Sdn Bhd was not only about building strong industry connections but also celebrating the success of our esteemed alumni who have made significant contributions to the renowned animation company. The delegation, led by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice Chancellor, was a reflection of UCYP’s commitment to fostering ongoing relationships with industry partners and recognizing the achievements of its graduates.
The visit was graciously hosted by Haji Burhanuddin Md Radzi, the visionary founder of Les’ Copaque, and attended by key figures from the company including Ahmad Akmal bin Ahmad Zaini, Chief Executive Officer, and Karyabudi, Director of Marketing, Sales and Licensing. Among the topics discussed was the importance of industry-academia collaboration in bridging the gap between education and the demands of the modern workforce. However, the highlight of the day was the opportunity to reconnect with UCYP alumni who are now playing significant roles at Les’ Copaque.
UCYP is proud of its alumni Abdul Malik Maliki (IKIP-UiTM, 2006) and Muhammad Hafizi Hazaha (IKIP-UTM, 2008) who have taken their place in the creative industry, contributing to the success of Les’ Copaque with their innovative ideas and skills. Their journey from university halls to being part of a globally recognized brand like Les’ Copaque serves as an inspiration for current students. These alumni embody the university’s vision of producing graduates who are not only academically proficient but also industry-ready, and capable of excelling in dynamic and competitive environments.
As part of the visit, the delegation engaged in discussions with the alumni, learning about their professional growth, the challenges they faced, and how their education at UCYP equipped them for the roles they now excel in. Their stories are a source of pride for UCYP and a reminder of the impact that a strong foundation in education can have on one’s career trajectory.
In his closing remarks, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi emphasized the importance of maintaining strong ties with our alumni, as they are the true ambassadors of UCYP’s values and educational excellence. The visit concluded with a renewed commitment to further strengthening collaborations with Les’ Copaque and supporting the continuous professional development of our graduates.
