In conjunction with Maulidur Rasul on 30th November 2017, KYP Students Development Centre (SDC) has organized a meaningful program that is KYP Maulidur Rasul Celebration 2017. The celebration was held at the Main Hall of Yayasan Pahang Complex on 7th December 2017.
The objective of the program is to observe the day the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was born, that was on 12th Rabi’ul Awal (Islamic Calendar). In addition to that, such program can enhance our remembrance of Prophet Muhammad teachings and increase our love towards him.
KYP Maulidur Rasul Celebration 2017 started with a student procession from KYP Residential College Tanjung Lumpur to Yayasan Pahang Complex. The morning procession by the students was meant to honor our beloved prophet, Muhammad (PBUH) while chanting praises to him.
Once arrived at the venue, the celebration commenced with a holy Quran recitation by the Faculty of Engineering student.
As soon after that, the Vice President of Academic, Pn Nor Aishah Hashim delivered a speech, emphasizing the importance of appreciating Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the essential of Muslim Unity. In addition to that, KYP students were also reminded of the needs for preparations towards the college transformation that is from Kolej Yayasan Pahang to University College of Yayasan Pahang.
In a meanwhile, the Dean of AISAL, Al Fadhil Ustaz Mohd Rashimi Bin Mohammed via his inspiring talk entitled, “Kesatuan Ummah, Kesejahteraan Negara” highlighted why we should acknowledge the sacrifices made by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). In other words, by knowing more about Maulidur Rasul, we learn more about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), his meaningful journey as well as his holy teachings.
The celebration ended with a prize giving ceremony by Dr Azhar Jaafar@Ramli, the Vice President Academic (Student Development) to the Best Student Procession. The winner for the Best Student Procession was Block B residents of KYP Tanjung Lumpur Residential College, followed by KYP Residential College Indera Mahkota (1st runner up) and KYP City Campus (2nd runner up).
