On May 30, 2024, the Industrial Networking and Career Placement Department (JJIPK) of KYP Education Sdn. Bhd. (KESB) organized an Inspirational Hi-Tea with Industry event at the Aqua Crystal Hall, UCYP University. This event attracted nearly 50 industry representatives from various sectors such as agriculture, tourism, education, manufacturing, and more.
The event aimed to expand industry networks and enhance career opportunities for UCYP University and Kolej Yayasan Pahang (KYP) students. Additionally, it sought to empower graduates to meet the competitive demands of the industry by providing a platform for them to develop their skills and knowledge before entering the workforce.
A significant highlight was the launch of the Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator Training Center, officiated by Encik Wan Bakhtiar bin Wan Manas, Special Officer and official representative to Consumer Affairs and Human Resources of Pahang EXCO, and Dato’ Sri Hajah Shahaniza binti Shamsuddin, Chairman, Board of Directors of KYP Education Sdn. Bhd. This centre aims to emphasize the importance of occupational safety and health in training and education.
The event also featured knowledge-sharing sessions and experiences from agencies such as the Social Security Organization (PERKESO) Pahang, the Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Pahang, Talent Corporation Malaysia, and the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (JKKP) Pahang, highlighting industry needs and career opportunities.
KESB hopes that the event will serve as a catalyst for productive collaborations between educational institutions and the industrial sector, helping UCYP University and KYP graduates become more knowledgeable, skilled, and competitive at both national and international levels.
