University College status is coming soon! The preparation of becoming a University College is intensively being done. A Management Retreat organized by Vice President of Academic office was held at Mangala Resort & Spa, Gambang on 18th August 2017.
The retreat was conducted as an effort to develop strong and industry relevant programs that stands as the backbone to Yayayan Pahang University College (YPUC) soon!
The one day retreat was participated by KYP deans and academic head of departments led by YBhg Pn Nor Aishah Hashim, Vice President of Academic. In addition to that, the retreat was also strengthened by KYP Academic Advisory Board Chairman, YH Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ahmad bin Hj Zainuddin and two (2) academic board members YH Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhamad Bin Muda and YH Dato’ Norhishamuddin Bin Yaacob.
Eight (8) presentations were made by the VPA and the deans, proposing the five-year structured planning for the coming new courses plus their pathways. The input gathered from the presentations was compiled and several resolutions were derived. All in all, additional references could be made to both government and private sectors projects as based to the refinement of the new programs. In addition to that, consideration should also be made to develop programs of multidiscipline, linkable and cross-faculty that can contribute to cost efficiency in the aspects of facilities, manpower, knowledge transfer, industrial networking and many others.
