The strengthening of integrity is crucial in shaping the character of an individual, especially within an organization. Practicing integrity not only preserves the dignity and self-worth of an individual but also enhances the productivity of an organization and contributes to the elevation of a nation’s prestige.

Since 2022, UCYP has worked hand in hand with IIM to uphold the principle of integrity. UCYP has participated in the Pahang Integrity Month Celebration in 2022, Empowering Integrity among Higher Education Students and the latest was,  Young Statesmen Programme that was successfully done in September until November 2023.

Realizing the beneficial tie between the institutions, the collaboration between the Malaysian Integrity Institute (IIM) and the University College of Yayasan Pahang (UCYP) was formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed on October 25, 2023. The MoA marks a noteworthy stride in fostering integrity values via cooperation.

The primary aim of this collaboration is to facilitate the execution of BMAGIC 2023, themed “Integrity, Governance, and Sustainability: Building a Resilient Future,”  scheduled for November 9 and 10 in Kuantan, Pahang. The envisioned conference organized by Business School for Asia, UCYP aims to address contemporary issues and contribute to the academic discourse surrounding integrity and governance.

During the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signing ceremony between UCYP and IIM, several key points and insights were emphasized by Prof. Muhammad Fauzi Mohd Zain, UCYP’s Vice-Chancellor, and Datuk Nor Yahati binti Awang, IIM’s CEO. Prof. Muhammad Fauzi and Datuk Nor Yahati shared valuable insights, reaffirming their commitment to academic excellence, research, and the thematic focus of the conference.

The signed MoA signifies more than a ceremonial gesture; it lays the groundwork for a broader collaboration between UCYP and IIM. Both institutions aspire to develop partnerships in various academic pursuits, with a specific emphasis on research endeavors related to integrity and governance, creating a sustainable framework for ongoing engagement and knowledge exchange. The commitment to the success of BMAGIC 2023 is evident in the MoA, reflecting the transformative influence of collaborative initiatives on the academic landscape. As both institutions look forward to the conference as a stepping stone, the MoA establishes a foundation for a lasting partnership  that significantly contributes to the academic pursuit of integrity, governance, and sustainability.
