UCYP continues its victory by the accomplishment of fourteen (14) UCYP students who were celebrated in the 64th UTM Convocation Ceremony on 17th December 2021 while the Best Student Award Presentation for UTM Collaborative Program was held on 18th December 2021. The closed ceremonies were held separately with strict Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) compliance which involved UTM Space, UCYP teaching staff as well as the parents.
Fourteen students from UCYP were awarded as the Best Students and received the Dean’s Award and Validation Certificate through the program of Diploma in Technology Management (8), Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology (5) and Civil Engineering. The students involved were Cheong Wei San, Chin Chie Siew, Muhammad Nasrul Hadi Bin Zaini, Wan Muhammad Syahmi Bin Wan Khairudin, Nur Alifah Binti Muhammad Ali, Amirul Hilmy Bin Zulkifly, Norraini Binti Mat Yusob, Kaushalyaa A/P Chandran, Khairunnisa Binti Abdullah, Nur Syakirah Binti Rosman, Nursuhailah Binti Ibrahim, Nurul Athirah Binti Badrul Hisham and Siti Nurul Asma Binti Azhar. Meanwhile, the Best Graduate Award for UTM Collaborative Program in conjunction with the 64th UTM Convocation Ceremony was awarded to Muhammad Harith Farhan Bin Mohd Radzuan, Diploma in Information Technology with the highest Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA), 3.99. This is such an exceptional accomplishment for him and Farhan has become the pride of UCYP.
On the next day, the 64th UTM Convocation Ceremony was held at Dewan Sultan Iskandar, UTM Skudai. This session was attended by 156 graduates from Diploma in Civil Engineering (16), Diploma in Technology Management (91), Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (11) as well as Diploma in Computer Science (Information Technology) (38).
These historic moments commenced with the speech from UTM’s Pro Chancellor. According to him, their main focus is directed to the achievements in producing excellent and outstanding competitive graduates globally. He added that based on UTM’s statistics, students’ marketability rate is 91.5% which includes graduates from Malaysia and seventy other countries. He ended his speech by quoting the UTM’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Datuk Ts. Dr. Ahmad Fauzi bin Ismail, “Be kind but be firm” and “Don’t merely give examples; Be Exemplary” . The speech serves as guidelines for the graduates to continue their triumph to the next level.
UCYP is immensely proud of the students’ achievements despite the new norms in teaching and learning faced by the students. The efforts and commitments qualify them to finish their studies with flying colours. May this victory become exemplary to all UCYP students and serve as the benchmark for UCYP alumni’s capability in the outside world.
