Ramadan Aid 2025: Sharing Kindness and Compassion

The spirit of giving and compassion was clearly felt during the Ramadan Aid 2025 Ceremony, held on 9 March 2025 at Dewan Aqua Crystal, UCYP University. The event was organized by Pertubuhan Pemupukan & Pemerkasaan Rakyat (PEMEKAR) in collaboration with UCYP University, showing a strong commitment to social care and community support during the holy month of Ramadan.

A total of 63 recipients from asnaf and B40 families in the Kuantan district received Ramadan aid during the ceremony. The handover of contributions was officiated by Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice-Chancellor, UCYP University. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of kindness and social responsibility, especially among students and young professionals. He also thanked PEMEKAR for their continuous efforts in empowering communities through education and outreach.

The ceremony was also attended by several distinguished guests who played important roles in making the programme meaningful. Among them were Professor Emeritus Dato’ Sri Dr. Daing Nasir bin Daing Ibrahim, Chairman of PEMEKAR; En. Jalaluddin bin Abdullah, Registrar UCYP University; and Pn. Suhaila binti Hj. Mukhtar, Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Branding, Communication and Corporate Diplomacy, UCYP University.

The event was not only about giving material support; it was about reminding everyone of the values of empathy, unity, and community spirit. The smiles and heartfelt thanks from the recipients reflected how even a small act of giving can make a big difference.
