The Seminar on Early Childhood Education: Transformasi Taska & Tadika Bintang was successfully held on March 8, 2025 at Auditorium UCYP University’s Main Campus. The event, part of the #bintangECCE initiative, gathered 180 participants including educators, childcare and kindergarten operators, industry experts, and UCYP University students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Organised by the Faculty of Education and General Studies (FEGS), UCYP University, the seminar was a joint effort with Excellence Synergy & Training, Yayasan Dakwah Islamiah Malaysia (YADIM) Pahang, Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) Pahang, Persatuan Cakna Anak Malaysia, and Locca Café.
The programme aimed to provide a platform for early childhood professionals and students to gain valuable insights and exchange ideas. It featured engaging sessions that focused on current challenges and trends in early childhood education, especially on how to improve the quality of childcare and kindergarten services through innovation and transformation.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Dato’ Sri Hajah Shahaniza binti Shamsuddin, Chairman Board of Directors, KYP Education Sdn. Bhd. Also present during the event were Tuan Alwi bin Muda, Director of YADIM Pahang; Pn. Norsazlina binti Che Ghazali, General Manager KYP Education Sdn. Bhd.; Pn. Rozita binti Jusoh, Dean FEGS; and En. Mohd Sani bin Shaharuddin, Programme Director of #bintangECCE.
The seminar offered meaningful sharing sessions by experienced speakers in the early childhood field. These included Dr. Catur Setiowargo, an international consultant in Early Childhood Education; En. Muhammad Shukri bin Nor Mokles, Chief Executive Officer of Kids Campus Sdn. Bhd.; and Pn. Rosnah Ahmad, PERMATA Training Instructor and representative of JKM Pahang.
Topics discussed included strategies to transform childcare centres and kindergartens, the importance of mental well-being among educators, and ways to raise the quality of early childhood education in Malaysia.
UCYP University is proud to support such initiatives, as they serve not only as platforms for knowledge sharing but also as strategic efforts to enhance professionalism within the education sector.
