UCYP University took a significant step toward expanding its international academic collaborations with an official visit to Japan from January 22 to 24, 2025. Led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, the UCYP University delegation engaged with leading educational institutions and corporations to explore strategic partnerships that would benefit both students and faculty.
As part of its global networking efforts, the delegation visited Hakuho Girls High School, Yokohama High School, Docomo High School, and Shotoku Gakuen Senior High School. These visits provided valuable opportunities for discussions on student and faculty exchange programs, as well as innovative teaching methodologies that could enhance the learning experience at UCYP University.
At Hakuho Girls High School, the discussion centered on developing leadership skills among female students, while at Yokohama High School, the delegation examined Japan’s holistic approach to education, which integrates project-based learning and classroom technology.
The visit to Docomo High School focused on the latest technological advancements in education, including artificial intelligence (AI) applications and digital learning platforms, which are shaping the future of education worldwide. Meanwhile, Shotoku Gakuen Senior High School provided insight into Japan’s renowned discipline and ethical values, which are deeply embedded in its education system.
Beyond academic institutions, the UCYP University delegation also had the opportunity to visit Sankei Human Learning Co. Ltd., a leading organization specializing in training and human capital development. Discussions revolved around vocational training, leadership development programs, and workforce upskilling strategies, all of which could serve as inspiration for UCYP University to enhance its curriculum and training initiatives.
The visit also included a meeting with Affinity Co. Ltd., a company actively involved in the education and technology sector. The discussion focused on collaborative research and the development of educational technology, equipping both students and lecturers with advanced tools for more effective learning. Affinity Co. Ltd. also shared insights into best practices in AI-driven learning, data analytics in education, and the creation of interactive digital learning platforms.
This visit to Japan not only strengthened UCYP’s international academic network but also reinforced the university’s commitment to adopting global best practices in education. With these newly established partnerships, UCYP University is confident in its ability to offer a more dynamic and innovative learning environment, preparing students to thrive in an ever-evolving global landscape.
