UCYP Enhances Strategic Relationship through Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Beijing Information Science and Technology University (BISTU)

UCYP Malaysia has taken a significant stride towards advancing its international standing with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement with Beijing Information Science and Technology University (BISTU), one of the leading educational institutions in the People’s Republic of China. BISTU is a distinguished public university renowned for its expertise in engineering disciplines, along with a diverse range of programs in management, administration, and liberal studies. The collaboration, which began in 2019, has led to fruitful partnerships in publishing, research, and academic affairs.

BISTU’s active engagement in various international conferences organized by UCYP has further strengthened the collaborative ties between the two institutions. This strategic partnership has brought significant benefits to both universities, nurturing a dynamic environment conducive to academic growth and intercultural dialogue. The International Conference on Innovative Technology and Science (IC.ITS) and the Business Management and Governance International Conference (BMAGIC)

have served as platforms for knowledge exchange, fostering a vibrant scholarly community and promoting interdisciplinary research collaboration. Building on this successful partnership, UCYP Malaysia and BISTU recently solidified their commitment through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement for a Dual-Degree Program in the Bachelor of Business Administration. The signing ceremony took place at the BISTU campus in Beijing, China, on 5 July, 2023. Under this program, students will have the opportunity to undergo a comprehensive learning experience, spending two years at UCYP Malaysia followed by an additional two years at BISTU. This dual-degree approach ensures that students gain a well-rounded education while acquiring valuable insights and perspectives from both institutions.

The Vice-Chancellor of UCYP Malaysia, Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Bin Haji Zainuddin, led the delegation and was warmly welcomed by Professor Xiao Zhisong, Vice President of Beijing Information Science and Technology University, along with other esteemed officials including Professor Qu Li, Director of the International Office and Dean of the International College, Dr. Cheng Jin, Deputy Director of the Office of Research and Development at BISTU, and other key representatives. The collaborative efforts of UCYP Malaysia and BISTU exemplify the commitment of both institutions to fostering academic excellence and providing students with a high-quality educational experience.
