The 4th International Conference on Innovative Technology & Science 2023 (IC.ITS), organized by UCYP University, successfully convened on December 6th and 7th at the Grand Darul Makmur Hotel in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. This prestigious event brought together a diverse assembly of scholars, researchers, and industry experts united by the theme of “Advancing Technology for a Sustainable Future.”
One of the noteworthy aspects of the conference was its international reach, drawing participants from Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia and Singapore. This global participation underscored the conference’s universal relevance and emphasized the shared challenges and opportunities in the pursuit of advancing technology for sustainability.
Our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, set the tone for the conference with his insightful opening remarks. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi highlighted the pivotal role of technological innovation in addressing contemporary challenges and shaping a sustainable future, resonating with the central theme of the event.A key highlight was the keynote address by Prof. Ir. Dr. Rosdiadee Nordin, Deputy Dean of Research & Innovation Affairs at the Faculty of Engineering & Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Bangi. His insightful presentation, titled “Global Race towards 6G Communication Technologies,” delved into the nature of 6G technology, its relevance despite its early stages, potential industries set to benefit, global leaders in 6G development, and considerations for Malaysia’s readiness in embracing 6G.
Offering varied perspectives to the forefront, the conference featured distinguished speakers including Dr. dr. Linda Chiuman, M.K.M, from Universitas Prima Indonesia, Assoc Prof. Dr. Seow Chee Kiat from the University of Glasgow and our own Assoc Prof. Dr. Tan Li Pin, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Research & Industry Linkages at UCYP University.
Recognizing excellence, the conference celebrated outstanding presenters with the Best Presenter Awards. Attaining recognition, Muhamad Hanis Abd Razak of UCYP University secured the Bronze Award, Mohd Azri Rosli from UMPSA received the Silver Award and Dr. Noorzareith Sofeia of UNITAR was honored with the Gold Award for their outstanding presentations.
