In a move to enhance academic excellence and expand opportunities in higher education, UCYP University and Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) have officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The signing ceremony, held on January 15, 2025, at USIM’s Faculty of Major Language Studies, marks a significant step in strengthening academic partnerships between the two institutions.
Representing their respective universities, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Muhammad Fauzi bin Mohd Zain, Vice-Chancellor of UCYP University, and Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani, Vice-Chancellor of USIM, signed the MoA, symbolizing a shared commitment to providing high-quality academic programs. The event was also attended by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Nik Salida Suhaila Nik Saleh, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International) of USIM, and Encik Khairul Hidayat bin Abdul Manan, Senior Manager (Development, Asset Management & Facilities Office) of KYP Education Sdn. Bhd. (KESB).
Through this collaboration, USIM will offer an offshore Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Islamic Education) program, with UCYP University providing the necessary learning facilities. This initiative not only broadens access to quality Islamic education but also ensures that students can learn in a conducive and well-equipped environment, enhancing their academic experience.
This partnership is expected to pave the way for further academic initiatives between the two universities, fostering a richer learning experience for students while strengthening ties between higher education institutions in Malaysia. With a shared vision of producing highly skilled graduates who can make a meaningful impact on society and the industry, UCYP University and USIM remain dedicated to advancing education through collaboration and excellence.
